Why did I start blogging about books? Even though many books I read are unforgettable, I wanted to start a place where I could write down things about the books I read and then in that way I can remember the books better. And it's also fun to share book experiences with others who also enjoy reading books. Bookblogging is also a nice way to get exciting book recommenditions (which I never can get enough of!) and meet interesting people with same interests. But mostly I started a blog to share my bookexperiences with others.

What got me into reading? Books that was written by norwegian and swedish authors. And then I got into mysterious and suspense. Then I read a lot Nancy Drew books (I loved her!). The Hardy Boys etc. I've always loved reading but at that age I was struggling to find something really, really exciting but then the Goosebumps books came and I was addicted. I think I have read everyone of them and I still have most of them on my shelf today. They are precious to me. They were exciting, thrilling and hilarious. I was and still am a really big fan of Goosebumps. (And of course I saw the tv-show based on the books too!) And I read the Fear Street books by the same author (R.L Stine). But they didn't get that popular in Norway such as Goosebumps and the book stores stoped selling them after number 6 or 7 in the series which was really sad for me. It was almost like Goosebumps but for a little older readers. And then I wanted more horror. So then I started to check out Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and authors who also wrote horror. (Huge fan of Edgar Allan Poe as well!).

Goals: Read as much as I can. Try to read books from authors I've never heard about and explore genres that I haven't read much about.

Well, that's all about me for now. Hope I haven't bored you to death:)

PS: If you have any questions or want me to do a book review, just send me an e-mail to: bookreviewsfromthebasement@gmail.com It would make me really happy!:-)
Have a nice day!
